This piece was born from a deep reflection on authenticity and transparency in our daily lives. By painting a facade, I wanted to symbolize that barrier that we build to show ourselves in a different way than how we really are. We live surrounded by “facades”, whether physical or emotional, and we often hide behind them. The phrase “I hate lies” arises from the rejection of the masks we put on, of the falsehood that poisons our relationships and distorts our perception of reality. To me, lies are a betrayal of the most basic trust we share as human beings. The figure that appears in the mural represents each of us facing those uncomfortable truths that we refuse to see. This work is an invitation to honesty, to tear down those symbolic walls and to confront the truths that we often prefer to ignore.
